Holy risen dough. A little over a month ago, after Tiger Woods won the PGA Championship, some mouth breather named Josh Elliott was filling in on ESPN Radio's "Mike & Mike". Seemingly out of nowhere, he began talking up the need to start steroid testing in golf, especially (per Elliott's feverish babbling) now that Woods is coming close to eclipsing Jack Nicklaus. I thought that Elliott was being needlessly provocative for the sake of the show and grossly irresponsible (at best!) for linking Woods's name to steroids. Still, I also thought the weenie had just pulled the idea out of his rear end. Now, I come to find out that other ESPN hacks are trying to make hay with this, too? Has everyone at that network gone daffy? Why is ESPN trying to fabricate a steroid controversy in golf??? What's next for "The Worldwide Leader", gossiping about blood doping in table tennis?!?
